Our Managing Director, Henry B. Smythe, Jr., is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC), the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and he is a Past President of the South Carolina Bar. William C. Cleveland, III, head of the Firm's Business Litigation Practice Group is a Past President of the International Association of Defense Council (IADC). The Employment Practice Group head, David B. McCormack, is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Two of our Real Estate Group attorneys, W. Foster Gaillard and Morris A. Ellison, are Fellows of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL). C. Allen Gibson, Jr., head of the Firm's Construction Practice Group is a Past Chair of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry.
