Melissa Hazell received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, a Quarterfinalist in the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition, the Social Chair and an Executive Board Member of the Black Law Students Association and active in the Courtroom Advocacy and Jerome Michael Jury Trial programs. In 2005, she received her B.A. in History from Yale University. Prior to pursuing her law degree, Ms. Hazell worked as an 8th grade teacher in the Baltimore public schools system with the Baltimore City Teaching Residency. Her practice areas include Business Litigation, Civil Litigation, Employment, and Product Liability.
