David Cox has over sixteen years of experience trying cases in both the state and federal courts. Mr. Cox has a varied civil litigation practice, and currently serves as Chair of the firm's Product Liability Practice Group. He serves as counsel for a variety of major product manufacturers, and his cases have included the defense of industrial equipment, tires, vehicles, boats, tools, consumer appliances, and recreational products. Mr. Cox has developed particular experience in fire related product cases. In addition, Mr. Cox's practice includes business litigation, insurance coverage, media law, and intellectual property and trade practices litigation. His media representation has included Charleston’s leading newspaper and leading radio station group for First Amendment and other media issues. Mr. Cox represents numerous South Carolina companies for general business advising, risk management and litigation of commercial disputes, both as plaintiff and defendant. Additionally, Mr. Cox obtains trademarks and copyrights for business clients, and has litigated infringement and trade practices cases.
