Buist Moore Smythe McGee’s Intellectual Property Group represents clients for a wide range of intellectual property issues. Our practice group combines attorneys with experience in intellectual property litigation and dispute resolution with transactional attorneys who handle business issues such as licensing, employment rights in intellectual property, and transfers of intellectual property assets.
Our attorneys have tried cases to verdict involving copyright and trademark infringement, both as plaintiffs and defendants. Recently, our attorneys helped shape the law in South Carolina, with a successful appeal to our Supreme Court concerning the South Carolina Trade Secrets Act which helped protect vital trade secrets of a major national manufacturer.
